We are going away for my Birthday this weekend. I love Jacuzzis but am wondering if it's safe to have sex in them while pregnant. I can't remember reading anything on this ever........has anyone else come across any info?
Jacuzzis aren't safe anyway - at least if you sit in there too long. I don't think I'd attempt it, personally. And you never know what kind of germs you'll get up in there.

I would say a big fat no. Even when not pregnant, it's not recommended by doctors that you have sex in jacuzzi's.
They don't want any air getting up inside of you, and when you have sex in water, there is a large chance that you can get air pockets inside you and make their way upward.
But, again, I'm not a doctor, this is just what I have read or heard from my own doctor. Because I've asked questions like this before too.
I wouldn't do it in some random jacuzzi, that just skeeves me out. I especially wouldn't while pregnant. Before I got pg dh and I attempted sex in a jacuzzi once but it just wasn't comfortable at all so we gave up and went inside lol.
If there is a tub with jets in the room... it's not the same as a jacuzzi that several people can use. You're allowed to take a bath, as long as the water isn't too hot, just don't turn on the jets?bubbles can cause an embolism or something.
So if it's in your room and you don't turn on the jets, I don't see why you can't have sex in the tub.
DH and I went to a wedding last weekend and made a babymoon of it. We had a whirlpool tub in our room and definitely made use of it! We just made sure the water temp wasn't too hot. I felt okay having sex in it since it wasn't a public jacuzzi/whirlpool. Guess it depends on how freaked out you are about germs, bacteria, etc.
sex in water isn't usually comfortable or a great idea. DH and I attempted it once and I ended up with the worst UTI of my life!
I've gone in the hot tub several times since after 1st tri. If your body gets too hot, you'll feel it and know to get out on your own way before it can do any harm to your baby.
We have a hot tub at home. We drained it. :-) I was told by my OB that being in a temperature controlled tub is like putting your baby in an incubator without a way to cool himself.
I would say that the heat of the tub, whether it be a bath tub or a hot tub, combined with the raised body temp during sex, wouldn't be a good combo.
I've been in my ILs jacuzzi. Because I can control the temp and not have it super hot (and also I don't stay in that long anyway) I feel fine doing it. But I would not have sex in it.

I went in a jacuzzi not too long ago and we kept the temp luke warm... in the 80's and I kept hopping in and out.
As far as the sex goes though, I wouldn't recommend it, preg or not. As pp said, water, air bubbles, germs... not a good combo!
Ditto to PP, my doctor advised no jacuzzi's at all while pregnant, they raise your core body temperature which is unsafe for baby!
Maybe you two can take a nice bath together and "ya know" outside the bath.
This!

Just my opinion though!
