Today was a good day

I had a dr. appt this morning to get our medical paperwork filled out for our homestudy. Since DH was at the dr. recently, he filled out the paperwork for both of us, saving us a copay (score!).

He also went over the form we got about drug and alcohol exposure and gave me his thoughts on what issues would most/least concern him. AND he offered to take a look at any medical records for any potential matches, since he has done this several times in the past.

All in all, a good way to start my day.

DrL - I can't tell you how helpful it was to have a doctor to help us when reviewing cases and help with the drug and alcohol stuff up front. We interviewed several pediatricians and we chose the one who didn't even blink when we said adoption and started rattling off his experience with all sorts of cases. He offered to review files, which we took him up on the offer several times during our process.?

Great progress!  I, too, have found a couple doctors to review the files of any matches we are considering.  It's so important, and I'm glad your doctor, with whom you are already comfortable, has offered to do this for you.
