Vitex after clomid

I am currently taking clomid to help me O, but I would like to discontinue using it after this cycle because I am concerned w/ the s/e of my uteran lining becoming too thin.  I know I should not take vitex & clomid together, but when can I start taking vitex after my clomid cycle?  Do I take it after ovulation?  or do I need to wait 6 weeks for the clomid to clear my system?

I have heard some negative things about Vitex, too. I think a woman on my local board had some bleeding on it a few times, and still didn't O.

I admit that I have a bias against herbal products though, since they're aren't controlled by the FDA, therefore you can't be guaranteed potency or consistency in the products you're getting.

Would your doc consider Femara? It has been shown to have much less effect on the uterine lining compared to Clomid.

I did ask my doctor about my concerns regarding clomid & he told me not to worry about it.  I don't know how to feel about that.

Have you already had thinning of your lining, or just worried about it?

Are they doing u/s monitoring during your Clomid cycles to make sure it's not happening, and that you're not developing cysts, etc?

I hope your concerns are being addressed. If not, I would probably find a new doc. Trying to get pregnant is stressful enough when having problems conceiving, without adding on feeling like you're being blown off by your doc.
