AWWWE.......

So we mailed our first box to the baby the saturday before memorial day and the post office said that Korea (Holt ) would get it around 6/1.  Now I know that the baby goes around the 20th of every month for his well baby check-up so I figured because it is a 45 min bus trip for him and his foster mom to go to the agency that he would not get the box till around the 20th of this month.   We mailed him pictures of us and a brown monkey that is similar to our DS monkey that he LOVES and a mickey mouse blanket with his "new" name on it.   WELL I opened my email yesterday and there was a picture of him and his foster mom with the blanket and the monkey!!!!  I was soooo happy I can't believe that she made a special trip just for our box!!!!   OOOOOOHHHHH it is time for him to come home!!

That's so sweet! Just as an FYI, don't get too upset if he doesn't come home with the things you sent. Korean babies don't traditionally have lovies (blankies, toys, etc), so the foster mom might not send them home, but keep them for future foster children.

We weren't allowed to send much to DS#2, but we sent some things for DS#1 and were a little disappointed not to get them back. Although we do have pictures of him with them.
