I am scared. Please say some prayers for me.

I just scheduled an appointment with my OB to get my breast checked. It has been really sore toward the outside of my boob by my arm. I have been putting it off. My boops have always been lumpish and feeling then always scares me anyway because they are full of lumps and bumbs and stuff since I was a kid. Since this has been sore since I stopped breastfeeding my son, I am scared. Please pray its nothing. I am starting to get scared now that I have the appointment booked.

By any chance is it sore where the wire in your bra might poke you? I have the same lumpy boobs. I used to have a very sore spot off to the side. I finally found out that the wire on one of my bras was irritating it. It was just turned in a little.

I have heard....personally from one woman who had Breast cancer...and heard second hand...that bc is NOT usually painful (which is why it can go undetected for so long sometimes)...usually a lump with pain is due to an infection of some kind...clogged duct, or something....

Sooooo--I'm SURE you will be fine...and I'll say a prayer too.

MY OB told me that if the lumps and bumps move around and don't feel as hard as a rock, it's just those fibroid bumps, which are normal. He said I should get nervous if when I press one, it hurts very bad on that certain bump and it does not move out of place.

I am a mammography tech and if it helps any, I've never had a patient come in with pain and leave with bad news. Pain can be very normal and typically isn't a worrisome symptom unless there is something else associated with it like a hard, immovable lump. I will definitely pray for you though!

This is true. I used to work as an oncology nurse. Cancer does not become painful until it is large and pushing on other organs. I hope everything is okay!
