when do babies usually go from facing rear to forward in the car seat? Does it depend on their weight or age?

If you google your state's driver's manual, the car seat laws are normally included. That being said, there are recommendations that you keep them rear facing as long as possible.

The laws usually states that they go foward at 1 yr and around 20 lbs.It is now rec that they stay rear facing till 2 yrs because their neck muscles aren't developed and if your in bad accident they could get serriously injured
