Preemies

Mo

really?! That's so cool! How weird that we have so much in common.  I wonder if he played in the Purdue orchestra too?

I'm a Mechanical Engineer (degree) but for a job I do finite element analysis (analytical engineer).  My husband is also an ME - that's how we met!  But he has a completely different job...he's sort of a very creative type engineer to make custom robots for a pharmaceutical and other types of research.

Hey Kathy (Lemen99)!

My father was a Civil Engineer and graduated from Purdue (he grew up in southern Indiana around the Seymour area - North Vernon/Hayden).  Dad was an avid photographer as one of his hobbies, and I played the viola for 7 years.  Dad is actually being inducted into his hometown "Hall of Fame" posthumously   sp?) this summer for his engineering work.  He remained dedicated to the engineering department at Purdue up until his death and I think that there may still be a scholarship there funded in part by him/his estate.  What kind of engineering do you do?  Is your husband an engineer as well?

Re: Mo

  • Actually he wasn't the one who played the viola ... that was me.  I don't know what organizations he was in at Purdue, but I imagine they were hobby related and revolved around spelunking.

Very strange that we have so much in common though.  I have a cousin who is preemie Mom in Indiana, but her once preemie is now probably 4+ years old.  She went to Purdue as well from what I remember, but she went into Law, not engineering.

    Cool connections though.

  • oops I misread!  :)

    neat!
