5) Fill in the blank:
Becoming a preemie mom has taught me to trust the Lord wholeheartedly. That premature birth doesn't discriminate and that given the chance, I would not trade Ethan's birth and rough road - it brought me DH and I closer that I ever thought possible and made us both great parents with a true appreciation of our miracle.
2) Give us a short summary of your children's names, how early they were born, how old they are now, and why they were born early. Lily, 31 weeks, due to severe pre-e and HELLP, also had (and still have) a blood clot in my left arm that all seemed to surface at the same time.
3) Where are you from? Milwaukee
4) Tell us something else about yourself? My DH and whole family call me Shaney Delaney, I have a BFA in Graphic Design. I work at a school district that I love, but am not really doing much in terms of my field, that used to bother me a little, but since having Lily, I really could care less about my job.
5) Fill in the blank:
Becoming a preemie mom has taught me __________.
So much....I use to plan my whole life out, down to details and when everything "didn't go the way it was supposed to" I realized that you can't always prepare or plan for everything. To cherish every blessed moment I have with Lily. That me and DH have a much stonger relationship than I even knew or could ever have imagined. That I was meant to be a mom. That I have to let people's comments roll off my back. To not judge decisions other parents make.

Becoming a preemie mom has taught me that there is an amazing group of people in this world, many of whom I may never meet in real life, that I can not imagine not talking to every day just so that I can get through every day. Those people are the ladies on this board and on the Mulitples board. The rest of the world can never understand what it's like to walk in our shoes.

I lost her at 20 1/2 weeks and held onto Brandon for 5 1/2 more weeks when I started to bleed from his sister's placenta. He went into distress and had to be born. He is now 11 months actual, 8 months corrected.
