I used them on both kids and I really like them. I use Pampers at night now that DS is sleeping through since it does seem to be a little more snug for overnight use. (I would have leaks with DD when she was getting closer to the next size so instead of guessing I just use the Pampers at night.)
I love them, no leaks, no rashes (Luvs are the worst for my kids). Cheap. The new ones (Up & Up) do seem to run a bit big, I had to move Chloe from size 3 to 2.
DD1 was always in Pampers but once we started buying diapers for 2, I thought I'd try Target brand for her and we love them. I agree they do seem to run big though. We haven't tried them for DD2 yet.
Re: Do Target brand diapers do their job?
We used them for nearly 2.5 years with no problems. At one point, she did have to wear Huggies Overnights for bed, though.
I haven't purchased any since last fall, but a big box of them was around $14.
If you like Pampers, there are always Luvs (also a P&G product).
I like Walgreen's supreme diapers a lot. They run a little small, though. Their 3s are more like a 2.5.
