Who is using a first name from one culture/language and a middle from a completely unrelated culture/language? This is what we're doing (traditional Irish first, modern Hebrew middle) for our little boy, to honor both heritages. If you have an obviously bicultural name picked out, would you please share? I think it's so interesting to hear what others are doing.
Re: Bicultural names?
All of my uncles (except for the jr.) have bicultural names. My grandmother is from the Phillipines and my grandfather is American.
Raymond Guillermo
Patrick Virgilio
Michael Rae
Ditto.
DS is Lukas Edward. DH is from Sweden so most likely, all of our DC's will have Swedish names, or at least names that are common in Sweden. Edward is after my father, who is Irish.
The next DS will most likely be Alexander Flynn (Swedish/European first name and Irish surname/family name for middle name.)
