So I'm waiting in line at the street meat cart and this little old asian lady comes up to me, shakes her finger and yells, "youuuu hah wrong numbah pretty girrr!!!" She ululates, and then says, "you know wha I'm talkin bout..." and nods, and walks away
And then on my way back to the office (literally across the street) guy comes up to me and says, "you look like a woman who would enjoy this" and hands me a card for a gentleman's club. WTF?!?! (although I do like me some strip clubs on occasion)
on the plus side, I scored big at Century 21 and my street meat is yuummmyyyy.
Re: WHY do the crazies always find me???
lol never a dull moment here!
Did you get the falafel? My friends been raving about it too, I may break down and try it one day.
What did you get at century?
My favorite 'city' story is when a friend of mine lived in downtown Oakland. She'd lived there about 2 weeks, was on her way home from the subway and a homeless guy looked at her and said "nice titties!!" I about peed my pants when she told me. Ah, I do miss living in a city sometimes. I also scored at C21 on L.I. : )
NY question-have you gone to TopShop yet? Is it worth it?
Christmas 2011
I wasn't feeling the falafel today. I got a chicken and lamb combo platter $6 sa-weet.
I needed to get gifts for the girls that watch PAC at daycare after the teachers leave for the day--I got a little bag from clinique filled with 4 of their lip glosses--$20 each. And because I spent more $30, I got a $10 gift card back, which I used to buy Andrew a Kenneth Cole wallet.
x--our emails are down, which is why I haven't written you back yet fyi.
Veloelle, you're in NY now?
what the hell is Topshop?
Elise, our vendors sell everything from falafels to shish kabobs
I'm on LI for work. I have extra time before I leave tomorrow, so I was going to go into the city for a few hours during the day. Topshop is a store from England-a nicer H&M from what I understand. It's that or walking around midtown to see the library so I can pretend I'm Carrie Bradshaw checking it out, haha.
I tried to get around LI last night to Freeport's Nautical Mile, but got lost in the not-so-nice part of Freeport, never could find that Nautical Mile and finally found Century 21 out here.
Christmas 2011
and bubble tea!! Though the bubbles weird me out.
I haven't been to topshop. x--I think it's in soho.
veloelle--I don't like shopping too much so I probably won't go for a while. You went to the C21 in freeport? I saw your post from yesterday but it was to late to reply. You could have also gotten some nice seafood there, though it was raining I think.
