  • Serious? I put them in the pot with the water and turn the heat on, as soon as it starts boiling then I leave them in for another 9 minutes.  Rinse under cool water and your done!

  • You don't boil them at all. ?Place eggs in cold pot of water; bring water just to a rolling boil and remove from heat. ?Let sit in hot water for 17 minutes. ?Then run under cold water for several minutes before you try to peel.

    I do exactly this.

    This but I let them boil for 13 minutes :)

  • yah my mom said something to that effect (me&mymonkey)- but the last time i did it i somehow screwed it up and ended up with softboiled eggs which did not make for the best egg salad. ::barf::

    Just try and leave them in longer...

  • I always do 12 minutes and remember it because a dozen eggs... Not that I couldn't just as easily remember 9,10, or 13... Then I immediately run them under cold water until all heat is removed from the pan and eggs.
