I'm pretty bored. I had a really rough weekend so I've just been in bed watching tv and relaxing today. Saturday was my shower w/friends and family. It was really fun. Turned out better than I thought. I was really nervous about it. Got a couple handy things, but mostly.....clothes and receiving blankets. Joy. 'Cause I didn't have enough of those yet right? LOL. Thought that counts though!
Sunday morning at 5:30am I woke up in horrible pain. I was having a gallbladder attack. I couldn't breath, it hurt to sit, lay, or stand...it was awful. DH rubbed my chest/stomach and my back trying to help and it did help a bit. Then I started vomitting. It was just a lovely start to the day. Took a few hours to go away and then I was able to sleep again. Then at noon my friend and DH and I went to lunch and it started happening again. Not nearly as bad but it hurt. I was sitting there crying at the table. Then it finally went away and I was ok but still uncomfortable. We then went to see Star Trek and I have now decided that I definitely don't like going to the theater anymore. I was so restless and couldn't get comfortable. Kept falling asleep and it was just no good. So then after the movie we went home and I got in bed and I had ANOTHER attack. It was worse than the 2nd but not as bad as the first. I didn't go to the hospital because I know that if I can tough them out they go away and I'm okay. I have a doctor appointment today anyway so I'll just tell her what happened so she knows. To top off the lovely Sunday...the Lakers won. Boo. But...thankfully I was able to sleep last night and have been okay since. Just resting today. AND, because I'm not at work and my feet have been resting, I actually have ankles today! YAY!! haha. Anyway...this is longer than I thought it was going to be. I have to get ready for my doctor appt now. Hope everyone's having a good Monday and babies are well.
Re: my first day of leave...
I feel your pain. My last month and a half I kept having horrible pains. They attributed it to the baby moving. But after I had her it kept happening. One time I was home alone with her and couldn't move. It was like she knew, she just laid on the floor and napped with me. Finally we found out it was my gallbladder which I guess is very common from pregnancy. I had it out about a month and a half after I had my daughter. One of the nurses told me she's had patients who had a baby and the next day have the gallbladder out since they are already there.
Do you know what they plan on doing with you for your gallbladder? Your in my thoughts!

Yea, my doctor says that after Kayleigh gets here I have to make an appointment to meet with a surgeon and probably about 6 weeks after I have her I will need to get it removed. How is that going for you? Did it make things better? Did you have to change much about your diet or anything? I've heard mixed things from people I know that had theirs out.
Glad you're feeling better! So did you freak out during the opening scene of Star Trek? I watched it about 6 weeks after birth and OMG I was bawling and shaking the whole time, that was pretty similar to my birth experience, it was scary for me to watch that scene...I don't want to spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it, so I won't say anything more!
Oh and I also hate the Lakers!!!!!!!!!!
OMG it is night and day! The day I came home I did way too much and paid for it the following two days. But within a week I was feeling good! I notice my stomach being upset if I eat too much fried food but other then that I don't really notice it. It was well worth having it out. If you are going to BB just start working on a freezer stash for you can't BB for 24 hrs after surgery.
Good luck!
I totally teared up in that scene. I know what you mean. It was a bit much.
Go ORLANDO tonight!!!! Down with the Lakers! hehe
