1. What week are you in? Week 36/37 Any new aches or pains? Numbness in right arm/hand and outside toes from Edema and BH contractions. Baby is finally dropping (no longer right under my BBs)
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Weekly check up and hopefully a sign to deliver since she's over 7lbs already.
3. When is your next appointment? Wednesday. Will anything special happen at that appointment? Internal and discussion on size/induction.
4. Are you nervous to go into labor early? Not anymore. Now that I'm close to 37 weeks, I?m ready to go.
5. When will you pack your hospital bag and what will be in it? Must do that this week ? on the ?to-do? list for Tuesday night.
6. For moms expecting again, did you have morning sickness in one pregnancy and not the other? N/A
7. What were your reasons for finding out the sex or waiting until delivery? I?m a planner by nature and knowing it would be hard for me to connect to this pregnancy until the end because of multiple MCs, I needed something to identify with.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains?? 35w/0d.? Holy crap.? Feeling pretty good actually.? Starting to slow down a bit and definitely waddling more.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week?? Going sailing tomorrow if the weather cooperates.? Have a meet & greet with a ped on Thursday morning.? (Had my last shower yesterday and it was so much fun.)?
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment?? Tues. 6/9.? 36 week appt, so Group B Strep test, internal - she'll tell us how the baby is positioned, etc.? Then we see her every week!? Eeeeek!
4. Are you nervous to go into labor early?? No.? I'd prefer it.? Well... maybe 2 weeks early, maximum.? What I'm really nervous about is being way overdue.? The way the schedule works out at the restaurant, for DH to get 2 full weeks at home with me and the baby she needs to come no later than 7/15.? Yikes.
5. When will you pack your hospital bag and what will be in it?? My question.? I really need to start putting it together.? But I don't know what all to bring.

1. What week are you in? Week 33
Any new aches or pains? Still sleep deprived. Can't seem to fall asleep and/or get comfortable.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? My mom's graduation. She is getting her masters in social work at the tender age of 57 - I couldn't be more proud.
3. When is your next appointment? June 17th
Will anything special happen at that appointment? Routine
4. Are you nervous to go into labor early? Nope, I'm actually praying for this. We are all prepared and ready to go. Obviously, I don't want him to come sooner than "full term" but if he comes early, we will be ready for him.
5. When will you pack your hospital bag and what will be in it? I have already started packing, with a list of last minute stuff (toiletries). I have a robe, 2 nursing tank tops, a nursing bra, slippers, socks, heating pad, camcorder, camera, boppy, laptop, labor ball, pillows, and going home outfit of yoga pants, light jacket & flip flops.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Tomorrow I'll be 20 weeks, halfway there!
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Wednesday is the big ultrasound, and I'm dying to find out the sex! Thursday is my 20 week appointment, then we're heading to Portland for the weekend! We're hosting a pink and blue party/barbecue on Friday night then I'm spending the day with my mom! On Sunday we're bringing my dad back with us for a week to work on the nursery! Lots of fun things this week!

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains???38w/5d. Feeling pretty good. Having a hard time falling asleep at night, more crotch pain, and I'm so freaking slow it's ridiculous. Oh, and my neck is so swollen I look like jabba the hut. But other than that I feel great!
2. What are you looking forward to this next week???DH finishing with work, carpet getting installed upstairs tomorrow, and generally just enjoying my last chance to spend a little time alone!
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment???Wed. 6/10.? 39 week appt. Another internal - hopefully I will have made more progress - my fall last week actually set me back as far as dilation goes so hopefully we'll have some good news there. (read Ina May's guide to childbirth - chapter four, "sphincter law." it's amazing how emotional/environmental situations can influence cervical dilation!!)

4. Are you nervous to go into labor early? absolutely, I had my first at 35 weeks and am hoping to not have a repeat performance. I have had several ultrasounds and so far so good. Ideally I make it to 37 weeks. Not sure what I'll do if it's late!
5. When will you pack your hospital bag and what will be in it? I am planning to be packed at 30 weeks (see #4). I'm not entirely sure yet. I think we may have brought too much last time but DH packed it as I was showering to head to the hospital in full labor. I really can't remember - stressful blurriness! Oh, I think the sweats we grabbed were too small so keep in mind you will still look about 6 months pregnant after delivery. (typically of course)
6. For moms expecting again, did you have morning sickness in one pregnancy and not the other? The m/s was different in each but I had it in both. It's creeping up in the third trimester which I did not have with DD.

There is so much planning in our life that we just wanted to allow ourselves be surprised. It's funny how it bugs some of our friends and family, however! Plus, it's motivation to push at the end! (we didn't find out with our first either)

9. When did/will you put the carseat in? I will probably clean it up and get the bases ready for each car in the next few weeks. Probably won't do the full install until we are ready to leave the hospital but it will be with us.
10. How do you spend your time during the 2nd tri? e.g. what plans you make, etc. 11. .Just entering the 3rd now. I really didn't do anything different than the first but I did had more energy. I plan on spending the third trimester mapping out the nearest restrooms.

5. When will you pack your hospital bag and what will be in it? 2-3 weeks ahead of our due date. Remember to not only pack stuff for you and the baby, but to pack stuff for your DH! He will need a change of clothes, stuff to do, and some snacks and money!

Going to Texas to visit the in-laws. Not excited about Texas but definitely need a break from work. Plus it will be good to spend some time with DH between business trips.
3. Do you use OPK's or any sort of fertility monitors? If so, what was your experience with them and how well did they work for you?
I have the Clearblue Easy OPK. I'm not pregnant yet so I'm not sure how to answer this. I got one after trying for 3 months. My temps fluctuate a lot so I was worried that my charts were off. But it tells me the same thing charting does. So the consistency is reassuring.

My question- I think we are going next month if we don't get pregnant this cycle.

Very good question. I guess I just try to live my life as normally as possible. When people ask I tell them that it will happen eventually. If its someone who is annoying me I'll tell they should be careful with those questions because if someone is infertile or having problems it could be really hurtful. That usually shuts them up.

More focused pain on the left hip/lowerback/sciatic pain. And today I started to have a really sharp pain on the right side of my tummy.

My sister is graduating on Friday from HS. I am so excited for her because it was very touch and go if she would graduate.

June 14th, basic and schedule Glucose Test. UGH!
4. Are you nervous to go into labor early?
Not really. I am actually kind of anticipating it. I know everyone woman is different, but my family on both sides have a reputation for going early. I just am not looking forward into going over my due date.
5. When will you pack your hospital bag and what will be in it?
I will probably start packing mine the last week of August. I am the kind of person who likes to be overly prepared and knowing me I will pack anything and everything I need including more then enough outfits for the little man. When I got places just me I always pack more then I need, but am thankful that I had all of it because you just never know.

We found out about the sex mainly because of the shopping. I am really into the browns and tans and greens for boys this season. But I didn't want all yellow and green stuff only.

1. What cycle are you on? Waiting to O or 2WW? Cycle 8 (Lucky cycle 8!! C'mon 8!), waiting to O.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? My baby sister turns 21 next weekend. I'm doing a Habitat for Humanity project on Saturday through my work. It will be a fun weekend!
3. Do you use OPK's or any sort of fertility monitors? If so, what was your experience with them and how well did they work for you? This was my questions.
4. For those of you who were TTC for awhile, how long did you try before going to the doctor to see if there were problems? I was going to ask this question last week also but decided on the question above. We are on cycle 8, though the first two cycles we didn't really try very hard. We're going to Vegas in September, which would put us nearly at 1 year of TTC. If we are unsuccessful by then I'll make a doctors appt.
5. How do you stay positive while TTC for an extended amount of time or when people make comments?? This is a hard one for me. I try and focus on the fun time H and I have been having. We haven't been stressing about TTC, yet, but it's only been 8 months. The comments from other people is what really gets me. I just try and let it roll off my back and not let it get to me, easier said than done sometimes. Or go home and have a drink.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 34 tomorrow... just the same ol' ones...
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Honestly? Not much! Getting a little bit more ready, I suppose.
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? The week after this one - nothing special. They did my group B at the last one, so maybe just confirming nothing is wrong??
4. Are you nervous to go into labor early? No - if it happens, it happens. I'm far enough along now, and everything looks good - I really don't think he'll be early by more than a week or so, if at all. DD was 5 days late, and they say the average is 5-7 days earlier w/the 2nd. I'm more afraid of being stuck in traffic, since labor is supposed to be faster w/#2!

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 29 weeks, feeling really good actually since the weather cooled down a touch, not swelling as much.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? The results of the glucose test I took today. Think non-GD thoughts!
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? At my 28 week appt today the midwife has me measuring at 32 weeks, and I was measuring large last appt as well. She wants me to get another u/s for size. Oh darn! Another chance to see our little Zachary. I'll probably have that the next week. Then the next appointment is 31 weeks on 6/29.

3. Do you use OPK's or any sort of fertility monitors? If so, what was your experience with them and how well did they work for you? I used the cheap OPKs for a while, those seemed to work fine. Then I used the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor, seemed to work fine for me too.
4. For those of you who were TTC for awhile, how long did you try before going to the doctor to see if there were problems? We started seeing a doc after 9 months of trying while charting.
5. How do you stay positive while TTC for an extended amount of time or when people make comments?? I would tell people that we are having loads of fun practicing (that normally shuts people up) :-). It was very hard staying positive knowing that there could be something wrong and we might have to get medical intervension...I would have a few glasses of wine and take a hot bath each month when AF showed. That helped.

clear blue easy OPKs. seemed to work ok. Positive OPK was actually the reason we moved up our last IUI (got an earlier than expected positive) and that was the successful one!
4. For those of you who were TTC for awhile, how long did you try before going to the doctor to see if there were problems?
8 cycles. But I had a previous diagnosis that had the potential to cause problems. It was about 11 cycles before we started "treatment"
5. How do you stay positive while TTC for an extended amount of time or when people make comments?? Our response was just "eventually" when asked about kids. charting was helpful to me for tracking cycles. I also found accupucture very helpful both from a mental and physical standpoint.

1. What cycle are you on? Waiting to O or 2WW? Cycle 6, 2 ww (Although this cycle was unusual... O'd really late and would have had AF by now. LP is a mess anyway, so who knows.)
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? I start physical therapy on Wednesday (for my foot) and it would be great if it helps. Also eager to keep getting moved in and maybe go buy our paint.
3. Do you use OPK's or any sort of fertility monitors? If so, what was your experience with them and how well did they work for you? I've been using First Response OPKs and charting for 9 cycles. The OPKs are 1-3 days off my actual ovulation every time (until this cycle when they actually got it right). I think it's a good checks & balances, but I would never rely on OPK results.
4. For those of you who were TTC for awhile, how long did you try before going to the doctor to see if there were problems? This is my 9th cycle of charting and our 6th cycle of TTC. I can see from charting that my LP is too short. We would have gone in sooner, but I wasn't able to get in to see an OB until early July, because I'll be a new patient. I'm over 35 and I can see a problem in my charts. If I hadn't been recovering from surgery, I would have gone in after 3-4 months, to be honest. No sense wasting time when I know it won't happen on our own.
5. How do you stay positive while TTC for an extended amount of time or when people make comments?? I haven't experienced people making comments, but that is partly because we really haven't told people we're trying. We only told a few friends and my sister. I just didn't want people to ask for updates and stuff. I have to admit that I'm not very positive about it, m yself. I was at first, but it's harder to do since I know I have an issue. I think I'll be more positive again after getting some help.

2. What are you looking forward to this next week? I'm going to take a "sick" day Wednesday and spend the day with DH. I've never done that before. I'm excited.
3. Do you use OPK's or any sort of fertility monitors? If so, what was your experience with them and how well did they work for you? I tried Target brand ovulation sticks once. I don't know if I used them right. I read to use them at a specific time of day, not to drink a lot of water, not to pee a lot beforehand, etc. Well, it was really weird for me to take those tests at work; and I drink lots of water and therefore pee a lot. At any rate, my attempt at using them didn't show anything. But my cycles are not always predictable either. All the rules bother me. I'm thinking about trying them again this month.
4. For those of you who were TTC for awhile, how long did you try before going to the doctor to see if there were problems? I'm at cycle 6. I suppose when we get to a year, I'll try to see a Dr.
5. How do you stay positive while TTC for an extended amount of time or when people make comments?? I can stay positive because our timing hasn't been great. My DH was diagnosed and treated for cancer a month after we started trying, so although we haven't been "preventing," our timing sometimes didn't work out because of surgeries and radiation. I tell myself that's why it's taking awhile. So I'm not stressing too much about everything yet. I trick myself into thinking it still hasn't been that long considering everything we've been going through.

After my first acupuncture appointment they have my taking my temp every morning and I will be starting OPK's on Friday. I bought them through the office so they are only $1 a piece. I'm hoping they all work great and lead to baby soon!

I went to see an acupuncturist after only 2 months becuase my period was irregular. My husband will have his sperm checked around 6 months and then to my doctor for other options soon after that. No set plans but I like to be proactive.

I truly beleive that we will get pregnant when we are meant to. It hasn't been long at all and I am honestly just enjoying not being on birth control (hello sex drive!) and all the practice.
