Midwife

I live in Denver and I am looking to interview a Midwife. Any?suggestions??

Re: Midwife

  • The APA site lists one in Englewood, and I know there is a pretty good birthing center in the city with midwives on staff...good luck!
  • You can call most any OB/gyn practice and ask if they have CNMs (certified nurse midwives) on staff that deliver.  The only CNMs that don't deliver in a hospital are at the Mountain Midwifery Birthing Center and are fantastic!  I had my first in a hospital with midwives and my second at the midwifery center and I loved the second delivery more.

  • Hi,

If you haven't yet found a good midwife, I wanted to let you know about a website with a list of midwives. It's in the Boulder area, but I think some of the midwives travel to Denver and many have lots of experience and are great. The site is www.appletreedirectory.com . Best wishes finding a good one for you!

  • We are expecting in September and LOVE our Midwife, Julie Hughes. She's fantastic and I've been so happy with her and her intern, Jen!
