Double strollers where carseat snaps in w/o adding attachment

Seems like I'm not the only one on here whose head is spinning over stroller research...

I like a lot of the features of the tandem strollers out there but from what I can tell most require you to dismantle the attachment bar for the infant seat before folding it up, which will be SUCH a painl.

Anyone know if there's another tandem stroller out there (other than the Graco Quattro Tour Duo) that lets you snap a carseat in and out just like a travel system?

Re: Double strollers where carseat snaps in w/o adding attachment

  • I'm looking at the Combi and the Peg Perego, but neither say they are compatible with my existing carseat (Chicco Keyfit 30). I'm deciding now if I'll just suck it up for the first few months and if I need to take both kids places, I just won't take the carseat with the stroller.
  • I have the Phil & Ted Sport, fits the carseat and the toddler w/o anything special. Pull seat off, toddler can go right in.

It ca also be a singel in a minute. It is the best thing we have purchased.

JARbaby, you are now my go to person for all thing P&T related :)  How does the carseat work? I thought that there was an adapter bar.

  • Could be worse... try look for a triple stroller that allows for two carseats and is light weight.

Baby trend has a good one for snapping in carseats.

Oh Francisca, I definitely don't envy your stroller sitch!  But I am still SO excited for you :) How are you feeling?

  • I have the 2009 Sport (got it in 2008 at a stroller show), it came with the bar (the normal bar that is on there with the toddler anyway, wheel guards, the jump seat. I just got the saddle bags.

The with the front seat in the upright position you just put the seat on the stroller. And the toddler in the jump seat.

    It was $300 + tax.

  • My Zooper Tango is like that with my Snugride. I think it is like that with most car seats. No attachment, nothing. The car seat fits onto the bumper bar itself, and then there are straps to loop over the top of the seat for added security.

My Joovy is sort of like that. You have to get the car seat attachment, but you can fold it with the attachment on. However, it doesn't fit in my trunk that way (small suv), so I personally do have to take it off. It's not a big pain. Two clips, very easy to work.

Come to think of it, my BOB Duallie is also like that. I leave the attachment on all the time right now, and it doesn't at all interfere with folding, and it does fit in my trunk with the attachment on. That one is not even designed to come on and off. It screws on semi-permanently.

ETA: Sorry, only the Joovy could be considered "tandem" and it's actually a sit and stand set up. But you still might want to check the Zooper, since it's been great with the car seat.

  • I have the Peg double stroller and one side is for the car seat to click in and the other is for a toddler. I dont know how other car seats will lock in, because I have the peg carseat as well. I love the single Peg and the double Peg. Both are great but pricey!
