2 days past due!

I was just wondering if there was anyone out there that is overdue like me. I have an appt. to be induced on Wednesday! I am really hoping to go on my own before then. Anyone else?

Is there a medical reason they are inducing? From the sounds of it (you wanting to go on your own) it doesn't seem like you are really wanting to be induced.  Technically you aren't overdue until 42 weeks anyway.

If you don't want to be induced you probably don't have to...however I know how you feel! You want your baby to come soon and on his/her own, however getting induced is kind of a guarantee he or she be here in 48hours. Right? I will be getting induced on the 15th if he's not here by then...yet I'm hoping he does come on his own before then.

I would like to go on my own but I am so miserable at this point that I didn't want to wait another week!

i was due jan. 7, 2006--went in for induction on Jan. 16 for induction-dr. didn't want to induce until we had to-did lots of level checking etc.    dd finally born at 11:59pm Jan. 18!   hang in there and be lucky you will be induced so early and quickly!

Yes I am 3 days overdue, it's torture!!! I go to the doctor on Wednesday if she doesn't arrive by then and get induced on Friday. I am hoping she comes on my own because I have heard too many horror stories about being induced.

I'm 11 days over.  The waiting is tough but I'd rather wait as long as he's healthy than be induced.

I got you all beat! I've had timable contractions for almost 24 hours...but only a few of them actually hurt, so it seems its still not real labor.  My MW is starting to talk about maybe my dates are wrong, but they were confirmed by ultrasound at 13 weeks, and I'm pretty sure that they were right anyway.  No induction scheduled yet.
