I see people mentioning that their swim diapers leak all the time here.
Swim diapers are only meant to hold poop, not pee. So yes, they will leak. That's also why they don't swell up like a normal diaper. Don't put one on your baby and then stick her in her seat for the ride across town to the pool. You'll have a soggy car seat
Re: FYI about swim diapers
Hasn't happened to me. I put my DS in his swim diaper before we head to swim every week and haven't had a leak yet. BUT I do know they aren't AS absorbant as a regular diaper. My advice don't put it on RIGHT after a bottle or BFing. I've yet to have a leak and we've been doing swim for 2 months.
Also Onestepahead.com has a adjustable swim diaper for $12.95 that is reusable.
Everyone says this, and the first swim diaper we put on DD leaked like she wasn't wearing a diaper at all, but the one we use now has never leaked. You can tell by looking at it that it's pretty absorbant.
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
Let me know what you think! Give us a review once you use it!!
We use the Imse Vimse reusable swim diaper and it works great, they do run on the bigger side so DD is still wearing the medium even though she is 19lb. and 27" long. This site has free shipping.

I just ordered this and didn't realize until after the transaction went through that they aren't shipping this week for some reason. Grrrr we are going on vacation next week and needed the diaper for this reason. Hopefully they are good at customer service and will change where they will ship the diaper.
