what is the red spot on my daughters lip??

My daughter is 8 weeks old and she has this red area on the inside of her bottom lip. We thought it was from sucking on pacifiers...but it has not gone away and we are wondering if its a birth mark?? My husband and I cannot remember her having it the first day but we did notice it in the hospital...ayone else have this or should we believe its a birthmark??

it could be a birth mark..my daughter whole bottom lip turned red after 2 weeks old...it is lower lip hemanomia   spelt wrong .
