Something to think about today...

Please read the link below.  It is a touching story that also is informative.

I am not a doom and gloom person, but I have HPV and think that people need to be made aware of the very real risk of cancer related to it, especially at young ages, I know 3 women who have been in the same situation at relatively young ages (around 32 in the cases of my 3 friends.)   I have the type of HPV that aggresively causes cancer.  I have had very early stage cancer of the vulvar (at 30), which is a very painful place to have it.  It is treatable, but requires constant vigilance.

  • I have had microscopic cancer of the cervix but I do not carry the HPV. It all developed in less than a year. I went from normal pap to abnormal to conebiopsy and they said I was lucky I got it when I did because it was so close to becoming full blown cancer! I was 21 when this all happend too so you just never know and yes I am still scared sh*tless that its gonna come back every freakin year!

  • By definition, you have to have HPV to have cervical cancer.  I hope it doesn't come back for you!
