Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Be careful with the Lil' Crunchies from Gerber

I think they should have made them a bit longer.  DD just put the entire thing in her mouth and almost choked on it. I had to finger swipe it out.

SCARY.

  • OR

You can just break them into smaller pieces.

Depending on how long each one is, we break them into either two or three pieces.?

We do this.  I wouldn't give the whole thing to DS, it's the perfect choking size

  • My niece did the same thing. She's 16 months old now and still hasn't grasped the concept of biting her food into pieces. lol

  • FWIW, they're also not nutritionally that great.

Ditto this. I read the ingredients and decided to pass on these.

Me too.  I would rather feed her a more healthier cracker.  Most of the Gerber Graduates foods are just as bad as those frozen kiddie meals in the freezer section high in sodium and not much nutrition.

  • They are the perfect size for choking. I have to let her bite it while I hold it. Nutritionally, yeah, they suck, but DD is slow to catch on to solids and the dissolving nature of these has helped her learn.
