Worst experience with friends......

So DH and I have decided to start TTC.  We aren't telling our family to avoid all the questions and drama since it can take a long time.  Our families would be way too excited.  So we decided I would tell my BFF instead because she has always been super supportive and loves kids.  Tonight I had dinner with her and could hardly wait to tell her because I thought she would be so excited for us.  Instead she was the complete opposite and what she said shocked me.  I ended up leaving dinner and came home to my DH really upset.  She was like you should really focus on having fun, kids will just get in the way.  She even had the guts to say I was really hoping you weren't telling me that you were pregnant.   WOW!! What a Friday! Sorry just had to vent. Thanks.

Aw, I'm sorry... that sucks.  Maybe she wanted to get pregnant before you and didn't like that you may get there first?  I hope she works through whatever was bothering her about it and your relationship remains intact.  GL!

Wow that sucks..and that's exactly why you have to be careful who you tell about TTC. Sometimes your friends aren't as supportive as you thought and that really sucks. But at least you know you can tell all of us on the board and we will be happy for you! GL getting KTFU!

One of my Bffs had the same kind of reaction. Didn't talk to her for a few weeks and then she called me one day and asked what was up. I told her that I was hurt by what she said. She didn't realize what a b!tch she was.

 You may just need to talk to her maybe she doesn't realize how she came off or maybe she is sad that you are moving on to a new stage in life and she feels left behind. If she's you bff. i think you should talk it out w/ her. GL
