I haven't posted here in a while, because we took a TTC break due to the fact that back in April, I scheduled a uterine surgery. For today.
Had a period on 4/21 and then started a new cycle on 5/21. Had a normal period.
Had my pre-op appt on 5/28, where she performed an u/s.
Today I peed in a cup and had blood drawn. I am on the gurney with my husband, waiting to for the anesthsiologist to come in and talk to me about going under and start my IV. My nurse comes in and says, we need to do another blood draw, because your urine test came back positive for pregnancy.
BUHWA?!
They take more blood, we wait. My doctor comes in and says, "So what's going on?" The nurse comes in and my beta is #1044. I am pregnant.
Surgery canceled. Appt with my doctor on Monday for an u/s and another blood draw (if necessary).
But how could I be pregnant enough to get a + urine test and blood test on CD16? When I was charting, my average O date was 19-21.
So I think either I am really like barely pregnant, or I got pregnant last cycle, miscarried and still had enough hormone in my system to get + tests.
So this is crazy, right? I was on the gurney, ready to go. Now I'm at home, have peed on a stick (2 lines immediately), and am just trying to focus on the fact that today I am pregnant. Maybe I won't be tomorrow. But today, I am.
Re: See if you can figure THIS out

Wow. That is quite the story. Holy cow.
So then...congrats! Wow. Just wow.
Thank you IVF for our little miracles!!
Yes, wow is about the only word I can think of. I kept saying "That's impossible. Impossible!" and the nurse pointed to my husband adn said, "Well, has that guy been around?"
The only thing making me think I am just newly pregnant is that if I'd gotten pg my 4/21 cycle, wouldn't they have see _something_ on the u/s on 5/28?
what the nurse said cracked me up.

Not necessarily if you o 19-21. If you o'd cd 21, 5/28 would only be 4 weeks 2 days. GL!!!
WOW! Congrats. H&H9!
Whoa times 100. I really hope that you are pg. WOW.
Me too. Congratulations!!! WOW!
if you o'ed later in the 4/21 cycle and the "period" around 5/21 could've been a fluke I don't think it's surprising that they didn't see anything on 5/28.
Holy Crap, Congrats!!!
Was the surgery necessary? can it wait until after you have the baby?
WOW!!! Congrats....I will be praying that everything is fine!!!!

Wow! That's is crazy! Hope you have a sticky baby and Monday's doctor appointment shows all is well!
That's what I was wondering as well. Congrats! What a crazy story!!
That is good to hear. Thank you!
Well, the surgery was to remove fibroids, which we thought were what was keeping me from getting pg. So.. who knows?! I guess we take it one day at a time, and if I am still pregnant with a sticky baby and she/he makes it 9 months, I guess we'll do nothing. If something else happens, surgery will likely be back on the table.
I am still in shock!
If I ovulated on CD20 last cycle, then the u/s would've been on 18DPO. And the tech definitely wasn't looking for a baby, so I can see how she would've missed it.
Praying that we see a h/b on Monday. I'll keep you guys posted too!
Congrats!!
