I have severe edema (bed rest) and now have my right arm and hand numb (like always asleep) and the outside toes of both feet. I understand that's from the swelling pressing on the nerves.
BUT - now my stomach is numb - like if i scratch it, i don't totally feel it. ANyone else have this as normal late in PG? Maybe the skin is so stretched I don't have as many nerves near the surface? Just checking before I bug my doctor AGAIN.
TIA.
AND Happy Friday!
Re: Anyone have this late in PG?
How much does it itch?
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
Below my belly button I definitely have less sensation - not totally numb though. I just figured it was because the skin was stretched so much.?
But with your other concerns, it might be worth checking out.?
My belly has been a little numb for the last week or so. ?I asked my OB about it at our appt this week and she said it doesn't happen to everyone but it's totally normal. ?Something about your skin stretching faster than your nerves can. ?Supposedly, the nerves should catch up after a while.
Strange though. ?Very strange.?
