I just completed my first cycle on clomid and it looks like I probably didn't respond to 50mgs. Did this happen to any of you? If so, did you move to 100mg or did you try 50mgs again? Just curious if you didn't respond, then responded the next month or two and got a BFP?
AF is 5 days late and my doctor told me to wait 7 more days before taking provera just in case i ovulated late and could be pregnant. I'm very crampy and have felt like I was going to start my period for a week now, but all my tests are showing negatives and AF hasn't shown.
Man, getting PG with my DS was so much easier!
And no, I don't have a chart unfortunately for this cycle.
Re: Question for girls who conceived on Clomid
I'm with my OB for now, but will move to an RE after 2 more cycles if I don't respond.
Where you monitored through your cycle? Are you seeing your gyn or a RE? They should have run a prog test on day 21 to see if you ovulated. If you did then they may want to keep the same dose, if not it would seem like the next logical step to up your dose.
I always o'd late on clomid and took 50 mg. Each time I had two to three good follies and they didn't want to up my dose. I did end up getting pregnant when we did the clomid challenge which was a 100 mg dose.
Daycare is SO exhausting!

Clomid is not candy. Anyone on it should be monitored very closely by their doctor. It has all kinds of lovely side-effects. In addition, you and your partner should have a full fertility workup, including HSG and sperm analysis, before using clomid. If you DH is shooting blanks or if your tubes are block no clomid in the world will help you and you could actually damage your lining.
I did use OPK's and got a positive on days 12 and 13 i believe, but I know this doesn't confirm that I actually ovulated.
I had an u/s on day 18 b/c I was having severe cramping - there were no follicles at that point and the doctor said if I was going to ovulate I likely had already. Prog levels were inconclusive. they were borderline.
This x 100.

Agreed. You didn't describe your treatment thus far but these things (HSG, SA, plus bloodwork) should have been done prior to starting Clomid. I did my Clomid cycles with my OB and he was very good about both monitoring and we did all the necessary fertility testing. IMO an u/s at CD18 is not really useful, you should have one around CD11 -- imagine if at CD18 you'd seen two or three empty follicles/cysts, you'd assume that you'd ovulated three eggs! Eek high order multiples here you come. I also don't understand why your bloodwork would be inconclusive - it's a yes or no thing, either your progesterone is within the range for ovulation in a medicated cycle or it isn't. Before moving up to a higher dose if it were me I'd ask some additional questions about how your cycle will be managed. If you're only doing 2 more with the OB you want them to count.
I conceived on Clomid. They started me out on 50 mgs in January. I was not able to take my dosage in February due to bad communication from my doctor's office, but took my next dosage in March.
In January, they drew my blood and there was evidence of ovulation. (Same thing in March.) When I asked if they were going to up my dosage because we had not conceived, they said no because it had done it's purpose (made me ovulate). DH and I conceived in March, after only my second round (and 3 1/2 yrs. TTC).
Best of Luck to you!! I hope you get the BFP that you're looking for!!
