TCOYF and long cycles?

I went to the bookstore yesterday to buy TCOYF.  I was skimming through the book and it seemed to me like it might not be a good fit for me given that I have very long, random cycles.  I didn't get it and thought I would do more research before purchasing it.  I, maybe incorrectly, assumed that i could learn what I need to about charting from fertility friend. 

 If you have really long cycles (>90 days), do you feel like TCOYF was helpful?

    I think TCOYF is an excellent reference just to understand how our bodies work.  I have long cycles as well (not now since I'm taking clomid).  I would still recommend it for you; maybe check amazon to get a used copy for less if you'd like.

    Um.....

    IMO long cycles or not, it can't hurt to learn about fertility/CM/charting etc.

    That said, ff has good tutorials too.

    Do what I did and get a copy from your local library...I didn't think it would help me either since my cycles are extremely erratic but I've learned a lot.

    Well, FF and TCOYF are just two different ways to explain the same thing... I think TCYOF would be more helpful for someone with long cycles who might need more explanation.

    I checked it out from my library. It really is super-informative and helps to explain what is going on. I usually research the heck out of everything and this book explained a whole lot of stuff (and the little stories make it amusing).

    You pay taxes to your local library, so use it! Smile

    Yes!!  I had shorter cycles prior to DS, since having DS they have gotten much longer and I feel like it is sooo informative.
