TTC after 35

HSG today!

I'm kind of nervous! ?I have my ibuprofin over on the counter--going to take it an hour before (thanks, all, for that tidbit!!!!). ?Anyway, thought I'd share! ?I keep looking at all these appointments as me (us) being proactive to getting my (our...well, he's had his SA, so he's done ?with all the testing, really...) baby. ?So, yay!

  • Good luck! I had mine on Tuesday and took 800mg ibuprofen about two hours before, and it didn't hurt at all. I hope you get good results!

?I agree, I always felt proactive doing tests. It gave me a sense of control over an issue that I really have no control over. Good luck!!

  • GL to you!
  • Thank you, everyone!

I took my ibuprofen and it didn't hurt much.  I still felt uncomfortable, and the liquid pouring out of me when I got out of the car at work was annoying, but overall the experience itself was fine.

Waiting in the doctor's office, however...a completely different story!  My appointment was to be at 9:00; I was supposed to be out of there by 9:30.  I got called in to get undressed at 10:30!!!!  It was nerve-wrecking to be sitting there, alone, waiting for that long.  (I called DH when it was over and informed him that he will be attending every other procedure I go through.)

I am so tired of doctor's offices not honoring my time.  Grrr!!!

  • I'm glad it went okay!

Glad it went okay but that was not cool of them to not respect your time.  I always thought doctor offices should have a service where you call ahead to see if they are running on time.  Then you could plan around stuff if they are running late or have an emergency.
  • Glad it went well.
