DH just saw his primary Dr. and he lost 10 lbs! Wooo hooo. DH is 6'5" and is built pretty stocky (not fat). I am so proud of him. His blood pressure is not GREAT but considered "borderline" and almost exactly the same as last time, but the Dr. is pleased b/c he lost weight and BP hasn't gone up. The Dr. also said he is very healthy (according to blood work, etc). This Dr. planned on referring him for a SA but asked DH to continue taking the L-Arginine (sp?) for one more cycle while I am on clomid and if still no PG, he will refer for SA. He thinks that since DH had SA two years ago which was good, he is OK and since we conceived twice before... the Dr advised us not to waste our money (since we have to pay out of pocket). So there's my DH update. GO DH!
Re: DH just got back from his primary Dr. (kinda long)
Congrats to your DH! Has he tried fish oils? That should help the BP. That's fantastic. My DH recently went down a pants size too, and it's amazing how much it's helped his self-esteem. GL with the SA, should it come to that.

No, this is a natural supplement:
L-Arginine
The amino acid is also essential in sperm formation. (It is found in the heads of sperm.)
Arginine supplementation is often, but not always, an effective treatment for male infertility. The critical determinant appears to be the level of sperm count. If sperm counts are less than 20 million/ml, arginine supplementation is less likely to be of benefit. Also, the dosage of arginine should be at least 4 grams per day for three months to be effective.
In one study, seventy-four percent of 178 men with low sperm counts were treated with 4 grams/day of arginine. They showed significant improvements in sperm counts and motility as a result of this therapy. Use arginine supplementation only after other nutritional measures have been tried.
