Dear lord, my 2nd child is going to be the death of me She is uber-active and already 'aggressively crawling' as my husband calls it and standing up walking along the couchs, chairs etc. She stands in her crib an can literally hang from the top bar; like trying to do a chin up. She is part monkey we think I'm terrified she is going to be one of those 'walking at 9 months' kids you read about  lol.

DD #1 walked at 9 months.  It was not fun.  I was much happier when DD #2 took her time!  Good Luck!

DD#1 was doing that.  She took her first steps at 8 months (with our encouragement) and then was really walking at 10 months.  I encouraged DD#2 to crawl as long as possible...  Good luck!

I know that feeling.

DD has been getting up on her hands and knees already. She'll be crawling within a month.

She wants to keep up with her big sister (or in our case, brother), I guess.

Sounds like my niece!  She was walking all over and climbing everything at 9 months.

Isn't it funny that with #1 you really want them to reach the next milestone quickly, but with #2 you want time to stand still?

Yeah, good luck with that. You just described both of my boys and one walked at 9mths and the other at 10mths. Thank goodness DD gave me a break and didn't walk until 12mths.

My DS#1 was walking at 9 months too. It was great! We got strange looks when we were out though. He was a very sturdy walker!
