....but is "Charlotte" becoming too trendy? It's my grandmother's name and we were really close....I've wanted to name my daughter after her since I was 10. What do you think? I DON'T want her to be one of three and always be known as "Charlotte R."

Re: scared to ask.....
I don't think it's too trendy. I love it (it was my great aunt's name) and it's a classic. Even if it is becoming more popular, I don't think there are going to be more than one in a class. We named our daughter Elizabeth and with all of our music, gym classes and library time and playdates, I haven't met another one her age.
To me, it's not trendy --it's an old fashioned name that is becoming very popular again. Sort of like what happened with Madeline and Sophia --old names that became popular again. To me trendy is Madison or Avery.
It is popular in NE--I have met 3 Charlottes under age 2 but it is a great name!
Exactly.

I use this to see the trend of the name. It was #87 last year.
I don't think it's overly popular. I am yet to meet one in person. Good nickname potential too - Char, Charlie
Charlotte is a great name - super cute.
It is becoming popular on boards, but I don't think it's in the realm of "too popular" IRL.
I say go for it!
I agree!
