the local board is usually pretty slow so I thought I would ask here too. Is there any flower wholesalers in the Detroit area? I am north of Detroit and I am trying google but just regular florists. I am doing centerpieces for a shower and just need an assortment. thanks.

Have you tried costco/sams club?  A friend of mine got her wedding flowers there and saved a ton of money.

I got married in Mid-Michigan, so I don't know a whole lot about vendors in the Detroit area.  But I have heard great things about Costco.

If you have a couple of days before you need them, try Costco.com.  Costco sells flowers in bulk online--even better deals than in the store.

 

BTW--where is "north of Detroit?"  I'm in the far northern suburbs--about 4 miles west of DTE Music Theater.  Are you near me?

Ditto Costco.  We used them for some of the flowers at our wedding.  Every store has their own contact person you can speak with.

We also used a lady for our wedding who works with wholesalers or is one herself, I can't remember.  I could give you her number and you could try it.  The worst she would say is no.  She was really nice and may give you a number to call.
