I keep hearing it's a good idea to have a cool mist humidifier in baby's room, but I've done a lot of research and can't find any that seem worth the money. Most of the reviews complain about leaking problems or really loud noise.
Do you have/have you registered for a humidifier? I'd love any recommendations!
Re: Humidifier?
We never used one but loud noise can be good. We lived in a small ranch-style home until DS was 3. We always kept a fan running for white noise -- so he wouldn't hear us.
The only thing about a humidifier is you need to be really consistent about cleaning it.
We have been using this one in our room LOL

We bought it with the intention of moving it into the nursery eventually, but I needed it when allergy season hit and I couldn't take my meds. It's been working great for months for us, and I definitely notice a difference in my level of stuffiness when I wake up in the morning!
We have a hunter one in our room (infant DS is in the room) and a vicks one in DD's room and have them running almost every night. I actually depend on the noise now--it's like a white noise machine. I have never had issues with one leaking.
DD has recurrent croup and DS had pneumonia and we would not have gotten through without them.
Now they are saying that a humidifier can possibly cut down on SIDS risk b/c it keeps the air moving in the room. Certainly can't hurt.
