FAILED MY 3 HR GLUCOSE TEST!!!

My Dr. office just called to inform me that the 3 hr glucose test that I took yesterday I failed horribly. I just don't understand. I do what they tell me to do and still FAILED! This totally sucks!!!!!!! I can't take this stress anymore. I don't know what to do! PLEASE HELP!!!

calm down...you'll be fine. You'll just test your blood sugar a few times a day, eat according to a diet they'll set you, and exercise a bit more. It's really NOT that bad.

I can imagine how disapointed you are.  But like pp said, the reality is not as bad as it sounds.  It just means that you'll be monitored closer, have a special diet etc. to follow.

Don't beat yourself up over it.  Hormones are what cause GD (they increase insulin resistance, and some women just can't compensate for that), not anything that you did.

I have GD and failed also.  I have been on the diet since 4/30 and taking blood 4 times a day and dieting.  Not that bad. Like 2 weeks ago they put me on insulin at night for high fasting numbers.  I was nervous and cried at first but it will all be worth it.  Bryers makes a great sugar free icecream.

First of all...it is nothing that you did wrong.  GD is something that can NOT be prevented.  The diet isn't bad at all.  Visit the high-risk board...there are lots of GD moms over there.  Hang in there...
