If you have a DD...

This is a weird question, but do you find that their hair wants to go forward?  DD's hair (on the top of her head) would like to hang straight into her eyes.  I thought it was just DD?

I guess it has to be 'trained' to go to the side...

Re: If you have a DD...

  • That is how it is with both of my girls!
  • It drives me nuts!  And, she's going through a "no bows" phase, and won't let me do anything with her hair.  Even brushing it is an epic battle these days...

  • It was true for DD#2---she had a mohawk when she was a baby --LOL!  Now I just keep it back w/ barretts & it's better "trained".

  • No.  Samantha has a giant spiral on the back of her head and the way it goes makes her hair naturally part on the side.

Yes DD's hair had to be trained too.  We just use a hairclip pretty much everyday.  And the longer it gets the easier it is to get it to go to the sides.  I think our biggest set back was that I took her to get bangs cut at about 20 months and the lady brushed all of her hair forward and cut straight across...ugh!  Now at 30 months most of that hair has grown and goes to the side instead of forward like bangs, except for her actual bangs!
  • Both of my girls have this problem.  It was especially terrible when my younger DD got a bad head cold.  She would wake up in the morning with hair straight down in front of her eyes and glued into the snot from her nose.  It was really gross!
  • Now that she has more it just kind of goes everywhere, but it's curly so I don't know if that makes a difference.  When she had less of it though it would go forward more.

  • Both my kids have this problem!!

Miles is just as bad with his hair in his face as Emilia. The only difference is, is that I can put a headband on Emilia.

My hair is still like that -- so I wouldn't expect DD or DS to be any different.  I didn't think you could really "train" hair.  I've always had to rely on products to keep my hair where I want it.
  • Yes it does! And I can get it to the side, but trying to pull it back in a ponytail is impossible unless I wet it. It just won't go that way!
