I think it is PG and wondered why also wondered if it would hold his attention? Also is it in 3-D just in certain theatres? Wondering if the non- 3-D version better if I am taking my son.
I took DD and she got tired toward the end. The beginning has some great moments for adults (I teared up a bit in one part), but I really think it's more of a tween movie than a kid's movie. The middle I thought was kind of dark and scary for little ones. But from what I have read in reviews, I seem to be the minority. Most people seemed to love it.
DD and I went yesterday and we both LOVED it. We didn't see the 3D version though because I knew DD wouldn't keep the glasses on. DD didn't get scared at all and actually laughed quite a bit. I cried quite a bit and didn't think that the movie dragged at all. Not really sure why it was PG, except maybe because it dealt with death and grief. DD did keep asking where the character who died was but she's had to deal with death in real life, so she understood once I explained it. Great movie!
Re: Anyone seen Up? Ok for almost 3 year old?
DD like it - but cared less for the glasses.
I don't think the 3D was necessary for her, but DH and I liked the effects.
The movie was GREAT!!!
