I'm sorry, I'm just not one of those people who thinks every baby is beautiful. They're not. Some are downright unfortunate looking.

You aren't the only one. I have seen some..... non-cute babies. Both of my cousins kids are a good example for me. I just say "oh so cute" but my parents and sister know how I truely feel!!

I try to stay away from "cute" comments for just this reason!

I usually try to find something to compliment, though.  Like, pretty eyes, happy smile, healthy size, lots of hair, etc.  Or I compliment the mother.  Or I just smile and nod.

I agree though! My step brothers children are not...attractive.. but they have such happy smiles, so I always just compliment that. Don't get me wrong- I love them to death and sometimes I feel awful thinking that my nieces arent beautiful babies!

i know what you mean! my friend's baby was SO not attractive but is starting to grow into her looks now that she is a couple months.... but as a newborn - 1 month, oh boy!
