DD loves the Moby, but only if she is facing out. She screams if I try to wrap her facing me. I want to get some other kinds of wraps or carriers as well. Which ones are good for facing outwards?
I would suggest trying a back carry instead - outward facing is going to get very uncomfortable for you fast as her center of gravity will be further away from yours. In a high back carry, she'll be able to see over your shoulder and look around but still have a place to rest her head if she falls asleep.
Woven wraps, soft structured carriers (like the ergo), and mei tais (like the babyhawk) can all be used for back carries. Check out my wrap link in my siggy for pictures of back carries.
We use a Kozy Carrier for forward facing and L-O-V-E it. PP is right that it gets harder but DS is 19 pounds and I still wear him this way. The pickolo can also be warn facing forward. DS also likes a hip carry because he can see forward and it is SO much easier on my back. I am dreaming of a Scootababy (dedacated hip carrier) but they are not in the budget this month.
I like my Peanut Shell. I can put him in the kangaroo position and he loves it. It is a small carrier that fits easily in my bag. I just bought an ergo too. I don't like my Baby Bjorn that much. It hurts my back.
