TTTC curious?

I remember a few months ago there was a board called TTC 6 months+.  At the time I wasn't over 6 months, so I figured I would wait another cycle and then check it out.  Now, there is no board with that name.  It looks like 12 months+ is the criteria.  Any thoughts on why they changed this?  I know some of you have been TTC alot longer than I have, but it just feels like a long time... probably because I wanted to try for several years before meeting Mr. Right and actually trying. ugh.

They are awesome girls, but it is a vibe you want to see if you will fit in with before just diving in.

Most docs want 12 months of trying before they peg you as 'troubled' so maybe that's what the Trouble TTC board lists 12+ months?

The TTTC board is great too. It is one of the least flame-throwing boards (besides secondary IF) that I know of. You are welcome there no matter how long you have been trying!

I have PCOS, and knew for baby 2 that we would probably have difficulty, so I was there before trying for a year.

TTTC tends to be a lot of talk about IUI, IVF, injectables, etc.  A lot of very medically involved talk.  A great resource for info IMHO.

TTC12+ used to be TTC6+ because there were a lot of women going there once they hit cycle 7 (or before) when really the year mark of trying is when most docs & insurances would indicate there may be an IF issue.  It tends to be more of a place to "get away" from TTC talk.  Make sure you lurk & bring your sense of humor if you post there.

I wondered the same thing actually.. trouble ttc and ttc 12 months+ are basically the same thing, so I'm not sure why they broke it up into 2 different boards. hm..

i guess it wasn't necessary since there is also trouble ttc, maybe ttc 6+ was slow and not many people posted on there.

i know what you mean about wanting to try for a long time. the best thing is to do whatever you can to understand your body so you can raise your chances of getting pg. good luck!

The vibes on the two boards (TTTC and 12+) are quite different. ?6+ was changed to 12+ because the regulars over there have been 'together' on the board for a while, and the name just didn't fit anymore. ?Not that "12+" is much better, but there ya have it.
