OPK question - What do you think?

OK, so I did like 5 OPKs yesterday because I had a feeling I might getting a positive (had a VERY faint line the day before and the last few months I have always had a fade in but never a true positive).  So for the first at 10 am, there was definitely a second line but clearly lighter than the reference line.  The next two at 2 and 4 pm were definitely darker but maybe not quite as dark as the reference line but soooo close.  And the ones at 6 and 7:30 pm were sort of like the 10 am one - a second line but definitely lighter than the reference line.

So would you consider this a positive??  The test instructions say if it's similar in intensity then it would be positive but I just don't know.  And I'm torn - I want to count it if only to say I have had a positive one, but when I enter it as positive on FF I don't get cross hairs, but if I take it off, I do get them and I also really want those cross-hairs!!

What do you think?  (Sorry if this is a dumb question - I just started using the tests a few months ago and FF like 2 weeks ago so I'm still kind of feeling my way along.)  TIA!!

Go get some digitals...Clear Blue Easy with the smiley face...no mistaking that smiley face...kinda pricey but it's much easier than trying to decipher lines

That is why I got the CBEFM. I think it was less hassle. Good luck.

I think the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line.  I always keep the CBE digital ones around just for this type of situation.  I PIAC so I can re-test with the digital if I'm not sure of the result on the cheapie.

Yeah, the Clear Blue Easy digital ones are awesome.

I agree with everyone, CBE digitals make it so much easier. There's no guessing game. I always used the CBE cheepies up until I started to get the fade-in line, then switched to digital to confirm the surge. Good luck.

I just got a pack of the CBE Digital OPK tests. There isn't any guesswork involved. It pricey but worth it. GL

I just bought the CBE Digital for this very this reason.  They say it's best to test at the same time each day and you should have not gone pee for at least 4 hours prior to testing.

I thought you were supposed to go with out using the restroom for 4 hours before you use and OPK. So I'm wondering if that is messing with your results too. Like all of the other ladies on the board I think you should try switching the the CBE digitals with the smiley faces. Very easy to read and no guessing.

Can you link to your chart? If FF has already given you crosshairs, you may have already Oed and missed your surge. But FF isn't always right!

I hear ya. i got positives last month with clear blue easy non digital. this month I have not got a surge yet ( using target brand now). I should ovulate today or tommorrow. I am getting frustrated. i bet it will surge this afternoon or tommorrow. Either way I think I wore my guy out with the sex this week... so i doubt i can talk him into another go today or tommorrow so oh well.

Next month i am using digitals.

I think it looks like you may have O'd cd12...but that's just a guess...you should get crosshairs if you have another temp rise...juat my 2 cents

Yeah, I plugged in a temp for tomorrow and that's what it told me too.  And that makes sense if I assume the OPK on CD11 was positive.  Thanks!!
