Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies (recipe!)

Got this from the love of cooking ~ how delicious do these sound? I've never made anything like this before.. I wonder if they'll be fattening? (lol!)

Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookies:

1 stick softened butter 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp sugar 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 egg ? tsp vanilla 1 ? cups flour ? tsp baking soda ? tsp salt 8 oreo cookies, broken into pieces 1 cup chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silpat sheet or parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat together butter, white sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla until creamy.

In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt in large bowl and mix thoroughly. Slowly add dry ingredients to wet and mix. Add chocolate chips and crushed oreos, stir until just combined.

Drop by the spoonful onto the cookie sheet. Bake for 7?9 minutes, or until golden brown, but still soft. Let cool on baking sheet 3 minutes before transferring to cookie rack.

Mmmmm...dammit, I just drooled on my keyboard   Seriously, I want to try these!  Too bad I'm dairy-free for the time being.  I will be making these once i wean Jack, though, for sure!!

I have the recipe in my "need to make" que. Everything I have read on cooking blogs, says they are really good. How could they not be though?!? ?:)
