starting clomid today

Just wondering what to expect? ?How bad is it? ?Do you recommend taking it at night or morning? ?When should I start testing to see if Im ovulating or not? ? I mean what day?

I did not have any bad s/e w/ clomid, but I would recomend taking it before bed to avoid any drowsiness.  I started opk's on CD10 but didn't get a +opk til CD19.  You Dr's office should've given you some instructions as to when to start your opk's though.  It may vary depending on if you're taking clomid cd3-7 vs. cd5-9

Everyone has a slightly different experience.  Typically, the first cycle on Clomid is at 50mgs which is supposed to have the least severe side effect.  Some women won't have side effects at all and some will have them bad.

Many women will suggest to take it right before bed to avoid some of the s/e like:  mood swings, hot flashes, gas, etc.  The most common from what I've heard are mood swings and hot flashes.

Just wondering if you are charting your BBT?  Anyway, my doc initially told me to start having sex every other day starting on CD11. I ovulated on CD 16 and 17 my first and second cycle of clomid 50 mgs.
