DH and I are looking into getting lasik done. Anyone have any recs?

I had mine done at Lasik Plus in Alpharetta 3 years ago.  Even though they are a chain, I was very happy with the doctor.  When I went in for my initial screening, no one told me to take my contact lenses out so my tests were faulty.  Instead of making me reschedule my surgery, the doctor redid the tests and talked to me about my new options.  They also loaded me up on samples of eye drops every time I went back for a check up.

Hubby got his done at Emory Eye Clinic near Peremiter because he blue cross blue shiled he got an additional 15% off...... they are very nice..they give you a tour, and show you a video that explains everything as well as has a doctor there at the orentation

I went for a Lasik consultation last fall with Dr. Stephen Hamilton of Piedmont Better Vision, which is a part of the Eye Consultants of Atlanta group. They are one of the best in Atlanta - their group has done Lasik on Elton John and Greg Maddux. My vision is pretty complicated and I wasn't doing it unless it was with one of the best. Ultimately, they turned me away because I am not a good candidate. That made me respect them even more. They aren't in there performing Lasik on everyone that walks through the door just to make money.

I went to Lasik Plus in Gwinnett and my mom went to the one in Alpharetta 4-5 years ago. You can tell they did a lot of surgery everyday because it seemed like a well planned day. You go in for your consultation and then schedule one later that week. Then you are in and out that morning of the surgery in 30 minutes.

Both DH and I did it at Lasik Plus.  Best money I have EVER spent.  My DH had Lasik and I had PRK.  Mine was more painful and longer recovery time but it was worth it!  You will know which you have to get after your consultation.  Good luck!
