Yes and yes. Our pediatric dentist is covered by our insurance. The girls love her. Plus she has a slide in her waiting room and TV's above some of the chairs so they kids can watch a movie while they get their teeth cleaned. It's a very kid-focused office and we love that. Our regular dentist also sees kids, but he doesn't see them often and it just seems to work better this way.
Just a regular. My mom works in this office and they definetly see tons of kids. I'm really comfortable there and I choose who cleans their teeth and what doc examines them.
I take my kids to a pediatric dentist. I am lucky that there is one in our area and she takes our insurance. I know some people who take there children to just a regular dentist. I think it all depends on your child. My ds has Sensory Processing Disorder and I knew he would have ahard time at the dentist becasue he is particular to the taste of toothpaste, doesn't deal well with laying back in the chair etc. The pediatric dentist is used to working with children with different issues.
Pediatric. They are amazing and my kids love going - no fear at all, even when Avery needed an x-ray after falling on her face once. They participate with our insurance but I think we'd pay to go there even if they didn't.
Regular dentist-- he has his first appointment tomorrow-- he's going with me to see what it's like, and then it's his turn. ?My hygenist specializes in kids, and I really like my dentist, so hopefully it;ll work out great
I took her to our family dentist and she did great. We have a really good dentist, and he'd refer us to a pediatric dentist if there was a need for one.
Both go to a pediatric dentist; they are not on our plan but since there is no pediatric dentist within 20 miles of us our insurance covers it. Hey, as long as they pay I'm not going to argue with the insurance people.
We take our kids to a pediatric dentist because there is one in our practice. We go to a really large office with tons of dentists and they are all covered by our insurance. If a peds dentist wasn't covered we would probably just take them to a regular dentist.
