Brother is awake!!
They've lessened the sedation on my brother and he's now awake! He's of course scared because he doesn't remember how he got to where he is and a little pissed that he can't communicate (he has a trach which is temporary), but at least he's awake and breathing on his own!
I was supposed to travel for work this week, but I'm going to go home and see him instead. There is another pg lady in his unit with the swine flu, but I'll just wear a mask in the halls and keep taking my Tamiflu.
