Thanks for your reply below.  We also took my DD to a pedi optho to rule out her eyes as the cause of her torticollis.  How is your DD doing with the PT?  Kate was in PT from 3-11 months for her neck, but it finally resolved itself.  It was such a PITA, though. Sorry you have to go through that!  I do think Kate's tort was one of the reasons she was "late" on her motor milestones (rolled at 8 months, crawled at 11 months, walked at 18 months).  Anyway, I've seen some of your posts about tort on here but I'm always too late to respond and share K's story.  Good luck!

  • Thanks for sharing and for asking.  She is doing good and bad if that makes sense.  Her torticolis is doing really well, definitely still there but she is able to get to midline even though she wakes up fairly turned.  And therapy is really helping with milestones like she rolls a lot (although she leads with her body instead of head when turning to her torticolis side) and she is doing good when we help her sit...she actually sat while using her hands to prop her up two days ago!  But I am sure she will continue to hit her gross motor milestones late also.  The reason that I said bad also is b/c she is still curving her back a lot, therapy has helped but the therapis and I am both really concerned...she still thinks that it is just postural but I still want scoliosis ruled out.  We went to an orthopedic a week ago but I am going to make an appointment in NYC to see one at a hospital where the PT used to work, I just cannot let it go until I have an answer either way.  The orthropedic that we saw just looked more at her neck and hips and said  they looked good but after I left I felt uncomfortable.
