    I had heard the movie was sad so I read the book to prepare myself. I still cried like a baby when I saw the movie. The book is much better though IMO.

    I haven't seen the movie yet, but I cried quite a bit when I read the book.  I was reading the end on the deck of a cruise ship, wiping my eyes constantly.  I still wonder if anyone noticed.

    We just bought it and watched it yesterday.  Even DH was crying (although he was shielding his face with his hands so I couldn't see).  Immediately after it was over he made the comment about "that's why I don't want to get a dog. I don't want to get attached." Ugh....men.
