How long after getting married did you wait to TTC?

My Fiance and I are getting married in 6 weeks, and i've got baby fever! I'm 27, he's 31.  We have been together for 3 years, and lived together for 2. I know everyone is different, but I just thought i'd ask!!

We waited 2 years. Now that we are on cycle 9, I think it was 2 years too long...but hind sight is 20/20..plus I was pretty naive thinking we'd get KU immediately...

We have been married for 2 1/2 yrs. I wish we had started sooner but I wanted to wait until I got my career started (smart choice I know but I still wish we had started a least a few months sooner).

We did really enjoy the first year of marriage being just the two of us, we did lots of fun trips, camping, going out to dinner, bought a house, etc. that we might not have been able to do if we got pg right away and I wouldn't have wanted to change that. GL!

lol... well, 2 weeks. hehe We got married May 17th and we are starting.  We have been engaged for 3 years and have been looking forward to this for a long time.  It seems like rushing, but we know what we want and are so happy.

Got married October 2008 and started in March, so about 4-5 months, but still trying...he wanted to start right away and I didn't, but looking back I wish we would have, but it will happen when it's meant to happen (soon I hope!!!)

We were married a little over a year and a half. ?Despite the challenges we've had TTC, I wouldn't have changed my decision. ?I want to start a family more than anything, but I truly just love being married to my husband and I wanted us to spend time enjoying marriage first. It's been 2 and a half years now, and I've loved every second of our time together without the much wanted responsibility of children.

We were married in Dec. 06, decided to start trying in Feb 08 but my DH had some major health issues so I didn't go off BCP until Aug 08.  We started actively trying in Dec 08 and are still awaiting that BFP. 

In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't have kids right away like I wanted to b/c I would have gone insane trying to be in the hospital with my husband if we had small children or I was pg.

Wow! Thanks for all the response! FI and I want to have a family, and don't really want to wait. I'm paranoid about it taking much longer as i'm already 27, and there's IF in my family history.  We're going on the "not NOT trying" until the wedding, and then we'll see later. I have long cycles, so we only get 9 chances a year instead of 12   I have started using a OPK, got a positive last month, so we'll see what happens!!!

Went off BCP about 2 months shy of our first anniversary, and we are about 2 months shy right now of our second anniversary. Still waiting and hoping for that BFP.

DH and I were together for 8.5 years before getting married (that includes 2 years of being engaged and living together).  Our five year wedding anniversary is coming up and we've been trying for about a year.
