XP: Should I call the RE?

I posted this on TTTC, but I thought I'd post here as well in case anyone has any ideas. We are really worried!!

I triggered (Ovidrel) Thursday night around 9:30 pm, and went in Saturday (yesterday) morning for a 9:30 am IUI. We are using frozen DS, so our timing needs to be spot-on (the swimmers only live 6-12 hrs, I've heard). I had some cramping yesterday after the IUI, but no obvious O symptoms (usually I can really feel it).

This morning, I had no temp shift at all-- certainly not the spike I am used to seeing the day after I O. Here's the link to my chart:

Is it possible to not O after a trigger? Is it possible I just haven't O'd yet and therefore should try to get the RE to do another IUI? (If it matters, at my Wed follie check, I had two 17mm follies, and my E2 was 292. That was the last u/s and bloodwork I had before the IUI.)

Re: XP: Should I call the RE?

  • Tempting isn't as accurate when using meds so it could be slightly off. After Ovidrel you'll ovulate anywhere from 12-36 hours later. I've read tons of different stats on frozen sperm. Some sources say they live up to 48 hours so who knows? If getting a 2nd IUI will give you some peace of mind about this cycle then I say go for it. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
