nicu bill

I finally got our nicu bill and was pleasantly surprised.  It wasn't nearly as much as I thought it would be.  Granted, it didn't include any lab work, her hearing test or her chest xrays, so I'm sure the total will go up a couple of thousand dollars after I get that bill.  All I have to say is thank the good Lord for insurance!!!

Oh, and the total for 10 days-$51k

    im still dealing with bills from the nicu and my son is almost 54 years old.

    We just got our bill from three days of my 5 day hospital stay. $7500 and didn't include doctor visits, all the tests I had done, or the ER visit before it to get admitted. Thank God it was 100% covered.

    Now we're looking forward to the 12 day NICU visit bill. I was told it was somewhere around $6,000 per day just for the stay, obviously all the testing and doctor coming from a different hospital is extra. Thankfully it's 100% covered as well. I won't be able to complain about my husband working an extra part time job and getting up at 3am for a LONG time! =)
