Not sure what we will do, we have some savings, but I LOVED my job. Great school, great people, great kids. I'm so sad and with another on the way i don't know what's going to happen. We NEED more space, but can't afford it on one salary.
Perhaps you can tutor or hopefully another job will come about.
Tutoring is a great idea! Also (though I don't know how these places work) maybe somewhere like the Sylvan learning centers or something. They've been advertising summer tutoring programs on TV down here...so it seems as though they may need extra help.
I'm so sorry. I know it's tough, and is a bigger blow than most people realize if they've never been in that situation. I lost my job due to cuts a few months ago and it took a while to realize I shouldn't take it personally. There are days when I go to the grocery store and remember that I have to watch pennies more than I did before and get bummed, but overall it's amazing how you soon realize what's important and figure out how to make things work.
Good luck to you!
